Viewers were treated to a lot more Asher on How to Get Away with Murder Season 1 Episode 6.
We learned that he slept with Bonnie on the night of Sam's murder. But is she actually into him? Or is she using him to establish an alibi?
She only called him that night, after all, after the Keating 4 have Sam's body stuffed in the car. Yes, he seems oblivious to the murder when waling right in front of Connor, Laurel, Michaela and Wes (and Sam's dead body)… but why show us that scene unless there's more to it?
Due to pressure from Wes, Annalise gives Frank the job of planting Lila's cell phone (with Sam's penis pictures on it, of course) in the car of Lila's boyfriend, Griffin.
But Nate captures this act on camera. For what purpose? How will Nate tie into all of this? Time, folks, will tell.
Back from bail-skipping exile, Rebecca asks Wes if he's okay with the phone-planting and all this illegal behavior. Correction, she asks Wes HOW he could be okay with such behavior.
Annalise, though, also has a question for Wes: Why does he trust Rebecca so strongly? Couldn't she be capable of having killed Lila?
Asher and his rich dad have a major falling out during the Case of the Week because the latter (a judge) ignored perjured testimony back in the day against a death row inmate.
But Annalise goes off in an episode monologue and convinced the panel of judges to find reasonable doubt in this 20-year-old case. They quickly free Annalise's client and overturn his conviction.
Elsewhere, Bonnie insists that Laurel - who is NOT actually a poor social climber - stop flirting with Frank, though she's lurking creepily in the shadows when Laurel cuts ties.
The main questions raised here: Why has Laurel been hiding her privileged background? And is she really not into Frank or what?
Annalise, likely manipulating Sam, sheds some tears toward the end of the hour and tells him she needs him. We then see Annalise calling Bonnie (who's in bed with Asher), desperate to track down Sam.
"Something terrible's happened!!!" she cries upon seeing the area rug missing in her office.
