Marco Rubio Hits Kid in Face With Football, Internet Laughs Aug 18th 2015, 18:00, by Tyler Johnson Marco Rubio may have been a standout at the first GOP primary debate earlier this month, but he's still having a hard time connecting with voters...and wide receivers. Like the rest of the enormous Republican field of candidates, Rubio was in Iowa today doing folksy stuff with folksy folks. The Florida senator went to college on a football scholarship, and he's married to a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader, so it was no surprise when he picked up the pigskin for a photo-op. Unfortunately, a QB is only as good as his target, and it seems this random Iowa tyke is no Odell Beckham, Jr. We assume that after the disastrous incompletion, Rubio awkwardly reached for a bottle of water.
