Justin Bieber lost out to Miley Cyrus for MTV Artist of the Year.
But the singer and good pal Will Smith have at least achieved one year-end honor for themselves:
The following Instagram photo, posted by Bieber with the caption "me and uncle Will," was the Most Liked picture in 2013 on that social network.
The image-sharing website also revealed that Thanksgiving (which coincided with the start of Hanukkah) was the busiest day of its year, while the top hashtags included:

Smith, meanwhile, has been a staunch supporter of Bieber for a long time.
