Demi Lovato was rushed to the Emergency Room on Tuesday with a severe lung infection, sources have confirmed to TMZ.
But the beloved young artist is expected to make a full recovery.
A close friend reportedly transported Lovato to Providence Tarzana Medical Center because she was having difficulty breathing, as doctors ran a series of tests and determined her condition was related to the flu.
Physicians provided Lovato with medication, including a Z-Pak, and she remained under their supervisions at least into late in the afternoon.
No further details are available at this time, but the infection is likely to interfere with Lovato's new album recording.
She recently posted a series of excited Tweets about a fresh career path, vowing to one day earn a Grammy nomination.
The artist has also labeled herself the luckiest girl in the world for having a life that includes an adorable dog and a loving boyfriend.
That may no longer be the literal case, as this is a tough break for the singer.
But it's nothing too serious and we hope Demi can return to making new music in the very near future. Get better soon, girl!
