If you live in the Northeast or Midwest, you might be sick of hearing the word "frozen" in the news, but this time the dreaded adjective means you have something to look forward to besides scraping ice off your windshield for 4,000th time this year:
Frozen Fever is finally hitting theaters, and those clever SOBs at Disney have offered up a 40-second trailer that pretty much guarantees you'll be forced to shell out for Cinderella next month, if only so your kids can see the animated short featuring Elsa and company.
Yes, Disney is promising that Frozen Fever will never be released in any other format, which ought to be enough to bring in some insane box office figures for Cinderella. (Like we said, they're clever almost to the point of being criminal.)
In case you've forgotten how wildly popular the original Frozen flick was, allow us to remind you:
- The film ran in theaters for 34 weeks and grossed $1.27 billion, making it the higherst-earning animated film of all time.
- Frozen's signature song, "Let It Go," won an Academy Award and charted in more than 20 countries.
- Anna Faith Carlson became a freaking international web celeb, solely due to the fact that she bears a resemblance to Elsa.
Oh, and don't forget that there's a full-length Frozen sequel in the works, which means that you're days of forking your cash over to Elsa and her friends are far from over.
Basically, you're gonna want to take that savings account that was supposed to be for college tuition and rename it "the Frozen Fund."
