They may not have been on the Upper East Side, but four members of the Gossip Girl cast were SPOTTED together on Sunday evening.
Chace Crawford, Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford and Michelle Trachtenberg were all in attendance at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar-viewing party in West Hollywood, stopping to pose for a picture Rutherford posted on Instagram.
"So happy to see these beautiful people (inside and out) last night. Chase, Michelle and Jessica #GG," the actress wrote as a caption to the classic group shot.
The stars, of course, helped anchor Gossip Girl on The CW, which pushed the limits of teenage sex and scandalous behavior on the small screen from 2007-2012.
Since then, not many of the actors or actresses have gone on to appear in any other major film or television project, although Blake Lively married Ryan Reynolds and then had his baby.
That's rather impressive.
Leighton Meester, meanwhile, married Adam Brody, bringing Gossip Girl together with The OC and causing even more mass hysteria among young TV fans than the above picture ever could.
Blake Lively, after closing the book on Serena van der Woodsen, married her Green Lantern co-star Ryan Reynolds and is now pregnant with their first child. Since Gossip Girl wrapped, she moved on to film projects as an actress, and has kept a pretty low-profile, which doesn't always mesh with her fashion icon status and being named one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People. She also launched a new lifetyle website, Preserve, on which she revealed her pregnancy.
Leighton Meester went on to marry Seth Cohen himself, Adam Brody. The two starred in the indie comedy The Oranges together. She had a couple of hit songs but her pop music career never quite materialized. Just the same, she's been performing and recording songs with indie folk band Check In The Dark, and her latest movie Life Partners premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. She can also be seen alongside Robert Downey Jr. in the upcoming film The Judge, and as female lead in the Broadway Revival of Of Mice and Men.
Taylor Momsen quit Gossip Girl in the middle of the series to pursue her music career as the lead singer of The Pretty Reckless, whose second album Going to Hell came out in March. Their debut album Light Me Up made it to #1 on numerous rock charts and spawned a hit in "Make Me Wanna Die," resulting in successful world tours for Taylor.
Gossip Girl herself (himself?) Penn Badgley has been more than happy to put his blogging/teenybopper heart throb days behind him. He earned strong reviews for his performance as Jeff Buckley in Greetings, and his Brooklyn-based band, Mother, has been actively recording and performing. Penn, who moved on from Blake Lively with Zoe Kravitz, has also been cast in The Paper Stone, alongside Tatiana Maslany.
Gossip Girl's ultimate bad boy heart throb, Ed Westwick, played Tybalt in Carlo Carlei and Julian Fellowes' adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet in 2013. He was in the Chinese action thriller Last Flight, which opened earlier this year. He also signed on to play the lead in Bone In The Throat, based on Anthony Bourdain's novel, and Take Down, a thriller about a group of privileged young people who are kidnapped.
Connor Paolo traded the Upper East Side for the Hamptons, starring as a series regular on Revenge for two seasons as Declan Porter, the Montauk kid from the wrong side of the tracks who got caught up in the Graysons' web of lies and ultimately paid for it with his life.
Jessica Szohr has appeared in Piranha 3D, Pawn, I Don't Know How She Does It, The Internship, and Tower Heist. In addition, Szohr was in episode of Punk'd with Dianna Agron and had a cameo in Taylor Swift's music video for "22." She was also cast in the pilot for USA Network's Complications and dated Aaron Rodgers of the NFL's Green Bay Packers!
Chace Crawford guest starred on Glee as Quinn's boyfriend, and in the film adaptation of What to Expect When You're Expecting since playing Nate on Gossip Girl, though it's been pretty quiet out there for him lately. He can next be seen in Joseph Mazzello's directorial debut Undrafted.
Sebastian Stan, who guested on Gossip Girl as globe-trotting bad boy Carter Baizen, was romantically involved with both Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen at various points and dated Leighton Meester in real life. He made a huge splash as Bucky Barnes in Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger and The Winter Soldier, and has signed a nine-picture deal with Marvel, so he's doing alright for himself.
Georgina Sparks herself, Michelle Trachtenberg, was a cast member on the NBC drama Mercy, which lasted one season. She also had memorable guest roles on Weeds, Love Bites and Criminal Minds, and has appeared in various films. In one notable role, she played the widow of JFK assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. The brunette also graced Maxim magazine's cover.
Katie Cassidy, who had a long and memorable Gossip Girl arc, was the lead on the CW's short-lived Melrose Place reboot, but scored a longer-lasting hit with the network as a series regular on Arrow.
Since Gossip Girl ended, Kelly Rutherford's personal life has made far more news than her career. She went through a very igly divorce that involved a lengthy, expensive, international custody dispute. Her two young children were still living with her ex-husband Daniel Giersch in Monaco according to recent reports, while Kelly filed for bankruptcy.
Matthew Settle, who played Dan and Jenny's ex-rock musician dad Rufus, has been MIA since the series wrapped. We are still waiting for Lincoln Hawk's new album.
Zuzanna Szadkowski, who played Blair's loyal maid and friend Dorota, has appeared in numerous New York stage productions, as well as three episodes of the soap opera Guiding Light. She also appeared in the 2011 short film The Pilot Season Survival Guide and in the 2012 independent film Where Is Joel Baum?
