Jamie Foxx is Electro in New Amazing Spider-Man 2 Set Photos Apr 17th 2013, 15:56 Jamie Foxx is doing his best Tobias Funke impression in these two new set photos have dropped for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Actually, Foxx is portraying the villain Electro, but with blue makeup and a hoodie on, it's hard to avoid the comparison. Take a look: The costume is based more on the Ultimate Universe version of the character, rather than the main continuity. The superhero sequel is currently filming, with Marc Webb returning to direct. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Sally Field, and Martin Sheen will return to star, with Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, and Paul Giamatti also star. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will premiere May 2, 2014.
