Ian Somerhalder is asking for a lot this year.
The Vampire Diaries hunk turns 35 today, but he doesn't want an expensive gift. Heck, he doesn't want a gift of any kind, not for himself at least.
He simply wants as many fans as possible to donate to his foundation in the same amount as the number of year he's been on Earth.
"I have a goal this year… we can get 1 million people of the 7 billion on the planet to donate $35 dollars," Ian writes on the official Ian Somerhalder Foundation site, adding:
"I know it sounds simple, but all donations big and small fuel our resources to continue expanding and making change for the voiceless of this planet: our skies, seas, energy, habitats and of course our furry friends. So if you can donate now, two months from now or at my birthday thank you.
Or maybe you can donate less than six dollars a month over the next six months. If you can't donate then you can spread the word about this year's birthday wish."
Consider it done, Ian.
