Katherine Heigl is suing Duane Reade over a picture the drug store company posted on Twitter of the actress leaving one of its locations in New York City.
The former Grey's Anatomy star no one likes or wants to work with anymore says the company is using her image in promotional materials without consent.
What do those "promotional materials" consist of? Get this ...
Heigl claims in her lawsuit that she was coming out of a drug store in NYC last month, when a paparazzo snapped a photo of her carrying a Duane Reade bag.
Katherine was "horrified" to learn the company tweeted: "Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can't resist shopping #NYC's favorite drugstore."
The lawsuit says the company is exploiting the 35-year-old actress' image for commercial gain despite her objection, and seeks $6 million in damages.
The best part (beyond the fact that she thinks it would help, not hurt, Duane Reade to see her spotted on the premises), is this line from her court filing:
"Plaintiff is a highly successful television and motion picture actress, producer and celebrity. Plaintiff continues to be in high demand in the entertainment industry."
LOLOLOLOL.
And furthermore, "A recent search for 'Katherine Heigl' on the Google search engine returned over 3.2 million results" and she has "754,000 Twitter followers."
The complaint goes on to note that Heigl plans to donate any lawsuit proceeds to a charitable foundation that helps animals, which is nice, we suppose.
