Some time in 2015, Stephen Colbert will take over as host of The Late Show.
He will replace David Letterman at the helm of this program and, based on their Tweets, most celebrities see this as a good thing.
But Rush Limbaugh is not most celebrities.
In an epic rant yesterday, the conservative radio personality BLASTED CBS for making this selection, saying the network "just declared war on the heartland of America."
He explained:
"No longer is comedy going to be a covert assault on traditional American values, conservatism. Now it's just wide out in the open."
Limbaugh, of course, is taking issue with the fact that Colbert has made his Liberal leaning clear over the past nine years of hosting The Colbert Report.
"What this hire means is a redefinition of what is funny, and a redefinition of what is comedy. They're blowing up the 11:30 format," Limbaugh said. "They hired a partisan, so-called comedian, to run a comedy show."
Colbert will not actually host The Late Show under the guise of his persona "Stephen Colbert," but Limbaugh would argue this doesn't change the star's political bias.
What do YOU think, readers? Is Stephen Colbert a quality Late Show replacement?
