The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 18 Recap: Traveling Violation >>Hollywood

At one point on The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 18, Damon took a giant yawn because he was bored by the yarn Markos was spinning about very ancient history.

And we couldn't help but think: We feel your pain, buddy.

One of the more boring, uneventful hours in show history, the latest install ment of this floundering CW drama officially introduced viewers and characters to the leader of The Travelers.

He quickly dispensed with the whole Doppleganger Prophecy business by saying he created a curse 1,500 years ago that was meant for his kind to gather the blood of the final Dopplegangers because only that could break the curse placed upon the Travelers by the Witches.

They are unable to chill and gather in one place at the moment, hence the use of Passengers.

So, yeah. Forget that whole true love thing Qetsiyah babbled on about way back when on The Vampire Diaries Season 5.

Markos proved to Damon that he means no harm, that he just wants some blood to his people can hang out together in peace, by making Elena and Stefan stop having fantasies about each other.

But we later learned that Markos does want to takeover Mystic Falls, as he destroyed the Travelers Knife brought to him by a Passenger-possessed Tyler.

Got all that? Oh, and Damon told Elena he doesn't want to be friends with her.

That really was the extent of what happened on an hour that spent half its time in some Stelena fantasy universe and a quarter of its time in The Other Side, briefly bringing back Vicki and Kol for no real reason except to say that part of the world is in trouble.

The episode sucked. There's no other way to say it. Go
