Former American Idol finalist Josh Gracin had both his Tennessee neighbors and the police racing to his door after penning an apparent suicide note this week.
The Season 2 contender and former U.S. Marine, who lives with his wife and four children, was/is apparently going through some major marital problems.
The 33-year-old wrote on Facebook:
"I've loved her for 17 years ... I made mistakes ... I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her help the most."
The ominous part came after that.
Gracin adds, "Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music ... Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye."
If the death of Robin Williams has made anything clear this week, it's that mental illness and depression are no joke; Gracin's inner circle panicked.
Friends and family called the police, who rushed to his home to find Josh's wife present but not him; cops called him and put him on with his wife.
He said he was coming home, at which point the police intercepted the singer en route. "He's safe," officials told TMZ, but is being held for evaluation.
Gracin drove himself to a hospital, with a police escort, after they pulled him over. He was cooperative, spoke to his family and is being evaluated.
He's being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold, which expires after 24-48 hours unless a medical examination shows he poses a risk to himself or others.
