Generally, the only emotion Kanye West expresses online is SEETHING ALL CAPS RAGE, but the tragic death of Robin Williams has led even Yeezus to show his softer side.
In tribute to the beloved actor and comedian, Kanye tweeted the above photo last night, along with the caption, "Thank you Robin for all the joy you brought into the world."
It's a rare moment of selfless sincerity and kindness from West, and a testament to the universal nature of the late actor and comedian's appeal.
Far more than just gifted, Williams, by all accounts, was a man devoted to putting smiles on the faces of friends, family, celebrities, and strangers in just about every situation.
The sight of Mr. Williams throwing up a Roc-A-Fella diamond next to the eternally stone-faced Kanye serves as a wonderful reminder that Robin found the humorous side of every scenario.
Not because it was his living, but because it was his life.
Of course, the horrible details of Williams' suicide released by the Marin County coroner's office earlier this week gave us an unwanted glimpse into the darkness with which Robin struggled for decades.
