Count Spider-Man himself, Andrew Garfield, among those taking a stand against the victims of the celebrity hacking scandal which erupted two weeks ago.
After Glamour published a piece titled, "Why Aren't More Men in Hollywood Standing Up Against the Nude Photo Leak?" Garfield did so and adamantly.
The star, whose girlfriend Emma Stone was one of the few celebrities seemingly not violated by the hacker(s), told The Daily Beast that it sickens him:
"It's disgusting. 'I have a right to your naked body or images that you've sent to your husband, or lover.' It's disgusting. It's this abusive violation of divine womanhood."
"It's violent, it's misogynistic, it's revolting, and it's another example of what this distance has enabled us to do - it's enabled us to be disassociated from each other."
"There's enough awful s--t coming from it that hopefully we'll get to the point of, 'OK, wait a second.' What's scary is that we haven't reached that point yet."
"There hasn't been a referendum put on it. The internet is the new Wild West. There's a guy now taking these pictures and putting them up in an art gallery."
"What f--king right does he have to do that? It's absolutely revolting."
While the aforementioned exhibit was canceled amid a torrent of criticism, the 31-year-old Garfield's point remains strident and impossible to argue.
He'll be happy to know the FBI is "aware of the allegations concerning computer intrusions and the unlawful release of material involving high profile individuals."
Apple, meanwhile, reported that the deluge of leaked photos were the result of "a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions."
Following the release of Jennifer Lawrence nude and Kate Upton nude pics (among many others) both women say they are exploring their legal options.
