Lena Dunham is soon to offer up more observations on the difficulties of being rich, white and famous in the form of her new book, Not That Kind of Girl.
Given Dunham's sexual frankness, we expect her memoir to read just like Fifty Shades of Grey, except with frequent complaints about how hard it is to find a good smoothie in Williamsburg.
Anyway, Dunham has been giving lots of characteristically quirky interviews to promote her book and as usual, in her attempt to seem relatable she comes off as the Queen of the Overshare.
(As though Dunham's "makeup free" selfie didn't already earn her that title.)
Dunham recently opened up to The New York Times about outing her lesbian sister to their parents and hallucinating that she was a basket of oranges as a child (seriously). But none of that compares with the weirdness of her childhood sleeping habits:
"Around 1 a.m, once my parents were finally asleep, I would creep into their room and kick my father out of bed, settling into the warmth of his spot and passing out beside my mother, the brief guilt of displacing him far outweighed by the joy of no longer being alone."
It's not so strange for a kid to do that now and then, but Dunham says she climbed in bed with her parents every night until she was 12!
No wonder Dunham was so shocked when Joan Rivers called her fat! Clearly, this is a girl who never heard a negative word growing up.
