Britney Spears' camp is preemptively TAKING IT to Cali Lee, threatening fire and brimstone if she breathes a word about her hookup with David Lucado.
The pop star's team, not inaccurately, boasts that it is so rich and powerful, it can destroy her and would think nothing of doing so to win this potential dispute.
According to TMZ, Team Spears fired off a legal threat to the porn star, with whom David was caught cheating on Spears last month (she dumped his ass).
Spears' camp notes that Lucado signed a confidentiality agreement when he started dating Brit, so anything he told Cali Lee must be kept secret.
That threat is legally flimsy at best, however, because Cali didn't sign squat.
There's just no way Cali would be bound in any way by any confidentiality agreement Lucado put his name on, whether they were on a break or not.
Moreover, Cali's lawyer has told her she can say whatever she wants, although the mere prospect of taking on Britney's team may be enough to muzzle her.
Spears' lawyer writes, "Rest assured that our client has the resources and the resolve to pursue this matter no matter what the financial cost or outlay in time."
Basically ... shut up or we will bleed you dry with lawsuits, and whether we have actual legal standing or end up winning or not is of secondary importance.
