ABC warned us, didn't it?

The network teased How to Get Away with Murder Season 1 Episode 4 by saying we won't believe the final nine words that come out of Annalise Keating's mouth... and the network was not lying.

"Why is your penis on a dead girl's phone?" Annalise asked her husband, leaving our mouths somehow agape and in a smile when the latest install ment of this ABC drama went off the air.

Before Annalise uttered these words, however, she was called on to defend a self-made millionaire named Marren.

This CEO faced charges of insider trading, though she denied them all and also stood up for her employees, who she considered akin to family.

Connor, however, ended up having sex (above) with Marren's personal assistance and recording his subsequent phone calls, which included the line "he did things to my ass that made my eyes water."

Paxton also outed himself here as one of the guilty parties, which led to Marren berating him, which led to him committing suicide by jumping out an open window. This tragedy left Connor stunned and saddened over his role in it.

It also left him single after his boyfriend found out about the affair.

On to LILA'S MURDER: We now know Sam was sleeping with Lila. Nate, meanwhile, was spotted by Bonnie going through Sam's car and blackmailed into giving her a tape of Rebecca's confession.

The video didn't match Rebecca's written statement, and it also made clear that someone was coercing her to admit she saw Griffin and Lila having sex, which led to a reduction in Rebecca's bail.

She got out. She revealed the code to Lila's phone to Wes and that led to the whole penis photo discovery thing.

Annalise, though, manipulates Wes into agreeing not to share this bombshell with anyone else.

Finally, Asher arrives midway through the crime-scene cleanup, knocks on the door and rages against his frenemies for not letting him in.

Combine this with the officer who caught them wrapping the body, along carpet fibers in the car AND all that DNA prompts Connor to lose it.

After the body is burned and bagged, he ends up going to Oliver's and crying over how he "screwed up."

Also, back at the crime scene, Connor appears to be blaming everything on Michaela. However, that might just be his typical brand of disdain/torment flashing through, as opposed to an actual clue.
