Jessa Duggar, Jill Duggar and their respective partners have gone uncharacteristically quiet (or at least quieter) on social media, and it's likely not an accident.
Typically staples of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram as well, Jessa Duggar, Jill Duggar, Ben Seewald and Derick Dillard have dialed it back in mid-October.
Could this indicate that the recent backlash over several of Jessa's recent postings have caused them all to scale back - possibly at father Jim Bob's urging?
Jessa hasn't posted on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook since October 5, when she shared a link questioning if radiometric dating proves that the Earth is old.
That's a long break for a usually daily social media user, who also sparked major criticism with her passionate comments on abortion and the Holocaust.
Jessa's fiance has also stayed off social media since October 4, although Ben Seewald's father made more headlines for a blog post likening her critics to Hitler.
The married and less controversial Jill and Derick Dillard have also backed off significantly, posting only one benign snapshot apiece this month to date.
Her once-weekly baby bump photos appear to be a thing of the past as she's quietly but clearly stopped posting as often about that or anything else.
Some are attributing the couples' lower profiles online to the outpouring of responses, good and bad, from Jessa's recent posts, which stem from her Christianity.
If you watch 19 Kids and Counting online, you know the giant Arkansas family are very religious people and this guides everything that they do in life.
Still, there's a difference between the things banned by the Duggar family in terms of their dating and personal lives and the kind of views Jessa espoused.
Jill and Jessa have amassed huge followings online with their regular updates on their lives and loves, but things took a political, and polarizing turn lately.
Jessa's trip to the Holocaust Museum sparked a great deal of debate when she lamented the tragedy of the victims, which she linked to unborn babies, saying:
"The sanctity of human life varies not in sickness or health, poverty or wealth, elderly or pre-born, little or lots of melanin [making you darker or lighter skinned], or any other factor."
"May we never sit idly by and allow such an atrocity to happen again. Not this generation. We must be a voice for those who cannot speak up for themselves."
"Because EVERY LIFE IS PRECIOUS. #ProLife."
Backlash came from those who said equating the Holocaust with abortion wasn't a good comparison, after which Ben's father absolutely went OFF on her critics.
In fact, he called them "Hitler's Doppelgangers":
"Are [critics] correct in saying that comparing abortion to the Holocaust is tone-deaf, insensitive, and irresponsible? I don't think so," he wrote in a blog post.
"Here's why. The Holocaust was the deliberate extermination of a certain class of people. In our society we may legally discriminate against our own children and eradicate them."
"Tell me how this is not the same thing."
Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with that, there's little doubt that something spurred the foursome to tone it down a little online recently ...
