When the world first learned that Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin are dating, it was widely assumed that it would prove to be a short-lived rebound hookup.
Now, however, it looks as though Martin-Lawrence is actually a thing. Last week, Lawrence met Martin's kids, and shortly thereafter, he endured that most painful of new relationship rites of passage - meeting the parents.
Yes, the 27-tear-old Coldplay singer spent some time with the folks who brought J-Law into the world. In fact, he hung out with several generations of Lawrences, and he apparently made quite an impression on Jen's grandparents.
"We will have to get another chair for the table at Christmas!" Jen's grandma gushed to The Daily Mail. "The family is getting so big, we might have to split up gatherings."
That's right - the Lawrences are already counting Chris as one of the family.
And it seems he's not the only one who's easily winning over his new boo's inner circle:
While it can be tough to make a good impression on your girlfriend's parents, it's nearly impossible to get a thumbs up from your new dude's ex wife (especially when there are kids involved).
So it's a testament to Jen's charisma that she was able to get Gwyneth Paltrow's seal of approval after the two actresses sat down for lunch last month.
So yeah, it's looking more and more like we'll just have to get used to the idea of Chris and Jen as a serious couple. We're happy for them, but we can't deny hating Chris just a little bit.
Wow. That's the only word that's really necessary when gazing upon this Jennifer Lawrence photo.
