Bridesmaids director Paul Feig has confirmed that he'll be behind the camera for Ghostbusters 3, a follow-up to a pair of wildly successfully blockbusters that will feature a major twist: an all-female main cast!
"It's official. I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women," Feig Tweeted on Wednesday. "That's who I'm gonna call."
Just last month, Bill Murray (the actor behind original Ghostbuster Peter Venkman) gave an interview to the Toronto Star in September in which he came up with his own list of actresses who could strap on proton packs.
"Melissa [McCarthy] would be a spectacular Ghostbuster," Murray said. "And Kristen Wiig is so funny – god, she's funny! … I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there."
There sure are... but case closed if you ask us! Bill Murray just named the next set of Ghostbusters.
Unless, of course, you wish to throw Amy Poehler and Tina Fey into the mix. Because Amy Poehler and Tina Fey should be tossed in pretty much every mix.
