Trigz, a famous tattoo artist and occasional actor in Los Angeles, was shot and killed Thursday evening after an altercation with an unidentified assailant.
According to local authorities, a male suspect shot Trigz in the torso around 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Victory boulevards.
He and Trigz had been involved in some kind of altercation and the man then ran off, leaving Trigz to die just feet from a tattoo parlor.
A witness near the scene says he heard four gunshots overall.
Trigz was a well-known tattoo and graffiti artist, along with an actor and model. He was also part of an exclusive worldwide group of artists that referred to themselves as "The 7th Letter."
"To see this and to hear this, it's not cool," a friend named Willie T told ABC. "Right now, my job is to be the photographer of the crew, so I'm here to document what happened. But at the day when I go home, it's a different story."
Loved ones of Trigz gathered at his tattoo shop last night to pay respects to their late friend and relative.
