The Biggest Loser Season 16 Episode 5 saw the stakes rise higher still for the athletes looking to relive their Glory Days on the latest iteration of the NBC series.
How so? And who rose to the occasion? (Literally?)
The teams were tasked with a race through the air, and across a canyon, testing their resolve and then some on The Biggest Loser Season 16 Episode 5.
Moreover, they also had to solve a different kind of puzzle, with the reward for winning being a rare opportunity to put one of their competitors on the shelf.
This week, the stakes are higher than ever, too:
The member of the losing team with the lowest percentage of body weight percentage lost goes home, no ifs ands or buts, without a vote to complicate things.
The canyon is also where the challenge takes place, which quite literally raises the level of competition. They have to carry their weight across a wire in a harness!
When you watch The Biggest Loser online, you can take note of the picturesque scenery. Someone should give it its due. Not the White Team, though. Oh no.
The group has full on HANDLED the competition so far with its speed and strength, proving why they have yet to lose a challenge so far here in Season 16.
This time it backfires on them, however.
After considering Damien, Blake, and Scott to sideline, they pick Damien, who actually has one of the lowest numbers of the Blue Team. Poor strategy.
Ultimately, Matt goes home after a mere three-pound loss, the least impressive of the week and below his fellow team members' body weight percentages.
Fortunately, Bob Harper greets him.
At Comeback Canyon, he will battle Mike, who sent Chandra home for good, although she has turned her life around by being active and eating better.
Battling intense competition in canyon-related tasks and working with trainers is one thing, but once they leave the show and get back to real life?
